APPEARANCE: Deep reddish amber with a little orange hue and a miniscule head. The bubbles are super tight and flowing through the very viscous beer at a very slow pace. AROMA: Sugary-maple, plums and/or raisins…mixed with some earthy straw-like or nutty qualities. FLAVOR: Big hop bitterness and wonderful hop presence --- very alcoholic and warming. PALATE: Deceptively smooth for the strength (11.26%) with a biting hop character and alcohol warmth to match. OVERALL: Very young and certainly needs to age to be not as aggressive with the hops (unless you like that, which I do). I would suggest trying some now and definitely aging some for a couple years because this is a good one to cellar!
